SurveyJS v3.1.2 adds response data verification, linting in Survey Creator's JSON Editor, and trailing zeros in numeric and currency input masks, along with bug fixes and minor enhancements.

What's New in SurveyJS v3.0

The new setData() method loads a response data object into the SurveyModel, applies survey logic, and checks the resulting values against the survey definition. It returns an array of issues. Pass an options object as the second argument to configure which issues it reports:

The example above enables reporting of changes made during loading alongside the default checks. The available options are listed below:

Each returned issue includes its type, path, and affected value. For an expressionResultMismatch issue, value contains the original value and expressionResult contains the value after loading. This difference can occur even when the supplied data is valid.

Survey Creator's JSON Editor tab now includes the SurveyJS Linter, helping form authors catch logic defects while editing. It detects broken question references, conditions that can never be true, invalid choice comparisons, and cycles in calculated values or triggers.

Handle the new onLintSurvey event and use options.lintOptions to adjust rule severity, disable checks, or declare application-supplied variables and functions.

Numeric and currency input masks now support trailing zeros, which pad the fractional part of a value to the specified precision.

Set maskSettings.showTrailingZeros to true to display trailing zeros. With the default precision of 2, entering "1" displays "1.00", and entering "1.5" displays "1.50".
